Privacy Policy

Summary: Timber does not collect your personal data. There are no Timber accounts, no Timber servers, no analytics SDKs, and no advertising. Your calendar and settings stay on your device.

Data we do not collect

Timber has no backend. We do not create user accounts, and we do not receive, store, sell, or share your calendar events, contacts, location, or any other personal information.

Information that stays on your device

Calendar data is read from and written to your device’s calendars via the operating system. It is not uploaded to us.
Your AI provider key is stored securely on your device (iOS Keychain) and is never sent to Timber.
App settings (your chosen city, selected calendars, preferences) are stored locally on your device.

Third-party services you connect

Timber works by talking to services you configure. When you use those features, data is sent directly from your device to the relevant provider under that provider’s own privacy policy:

Your AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini). When you send a message, the relevant calendar text and your prompt are sent to the provider you selected, using your own API key, to generate a response. Review your provider’s privacy and data-retention policy for how they handle it.
OpenStreetMap Nominatim (geocoding). When you search for your city, the text you type is sent to Nominatim to look up coordinates. No precise device location is used. Place data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Timber sends data to these services only as needed to perform the action you requested, and only to the providers you have configured.

Children’s privacy

Timber is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from children. Because Timber collects no data at all, no special handling is required.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
